Blender 2.53 beta out

Blender 2.53 beta out

Postby Sazex » July 25th, 2010, 1:51 am

Ok so finally the beta is out, and i installed it,
http://www.blender.org/download/get-25-alpha/
and i tried to get familiar with it by doing a tutorial,
but i got stuck when the spacebar didn't add an object,
so i went to user preferences and i still couldnt find it :x

so if anyone knows how to use the add object shortcut
it would be helpful if they informed me :)

( i realize that there is an add button on the top, but i want the shortcut )

also does anyone know how to save default settings? I changed my theme
and pressed ctrl+u to save it and it said could not save or something like that

If you press the space bar and type what you want to do, it'll tell you the key command or you can just select what you want.

I would personally recommend keeping the spacebar the way it is. Whenever you need to figure out what button to push, just press space and type what you want. It's an invaluable tool.

no what i meant was switch the shift+a with spacebar, so whenever i need to do that i could press
shift+a instead, but i couldn't find it, on the bright side i fixed the problem with saving the default settings :D

Ah, ok. It takes some getting used to, but I usually use default controls, to make it easier to teach people how to do stuff if I need to. Changing controls from the default can confuse people. But as long as it works for you, that's fine.
