Invisible walls?!

Invisible walls?!

Postby AlphaUno[BR] » September 15th, 2017, 6:19 am

Hey guys, I need some help.
I was studying about materials and textures in a simple house and now I found this trouble: I can't see the walls while looking through the window.

This is how I see while looking from outside.

And this is how I see while looking from inside.

Can you help? What is happening? :wall:

you mean you can see the walls, they just don't have any texture? it's probably an issue with one-sided material...

I can see the doors and everything, but not the walls. It's like the windows are making my walls invisible =|

Since you are using Blender Render, I assume you have setyour window-materials to Z-transparency Alpha <1 (less than 1). A quick check to see if it is the transparency interfering with the walls, add a material to the inner walls, check "Transparency" and set it to 1. This way Blender will treat both materials as active alph-channels and will then sort them accordingly, but since the walls on the inside remain at alpha 1, they will no longer be disturbed by anything below 1. Same principle applies for the Blender Game Engine, since BGE and Blender Internal use the same render engine.
