Browning 50. Cal. w/swivel mount

Browning 50. Cal. w/swivel mount

Here is the packed blend. of my machine gun. I finally got the mouselook script to work, but now it won't shoot!
Also, one of the constraints doesn't work; haven't figured that out yet. (I think I'm going to go ahead and start devoting the majority of the time I've alloted for this project to studying Python - I think it will be a lot easier to learn the GE.)

(The cylinder goes in the vehicle, of course, and it is white because all my vehicles so far are textured arctic camo.)

That's pretty cool. 2.5 kept crashing whenever I tried it though (might only be me), but it works great in 2.49. It would be pretty awesome to see it shoot.

Thanx. (Forgot to mention it was made on 2.49b - sorry.)

Hey, thanks for the complement! Yep, I made the model with Ani8or, only because I'm still stuck on it, but I'm faster with Blender. (I still use Ani8or for my UV textures - and I don't see any reason to spend more time learning Blender's texturing until I've tackled Python. I've come to the conclusion that building a decent game requires scripting, period. So now I'm going to devote all my time to learning python ;) )

(Edit) Here's the tut. I'm getting ready to start on.

Even though it's not done yet (I suppose) the looks of it is really cool! Can't wait to see the complete version of it :)

Thnx. Nope, not done yet. I'm going to need two sets of models, more or less, if I understand Normal Mapping with Blender - and then there is LOD to consider, but as far as I know Blender does MIPMapping automatically, as long as it is turned on. I think each level of LOD needs its own set of models, but I might not need the LOD levels if I just use the Normal Maps. (Really in deep water now  )
