A Mass Effect mod for SPG2

Ok, theres a lack of posts here so i will share what i am working on with 2 other guys from another forum.

We are currently working on a Mass Effect mod for an upcoming game called Starpoint Gemini 2 which is currently in early access on Steam.

Heres some info posted by Hellhound1, the "head" of our small team :P

SHOW SPOILER
Mass Effect: The Ascension is a Total Conversion of SPG2, set in the Mass Effect Universe. The storyline takes place between the end of Mass Effect 1, and the beginning of Mass Effect 2.

Mass Effect: The Ascension will feature over 20 new ships, 20 new planets, a bunch of new factions, and (hopefully) a load of custom starts.

I'm starting to recruit a team to help put together this mod!

I need modelers, another scripter or two, and a few people to write the story/dialogue.

Even if you contribute a single model, or a single line of text, you'll get full credits at the end of the mod :)

(Obviously the game is in alpha, so as features to the game are added/removed, so will features to this mod!)

All screenshots are taken inside SPG2 and there are more ships, but no screenshots of those so far. I have made a Turian frigate and ioae has made an alliance fighter. Screenshots of those at a later date :P

I am going to do a nice little double post here ;)


I want to invite people to join us in making this mod, we need help with medelleing, texturing maybe sound design, basically anything that could be of value, it is a total conversiton mod so it need alot of work.

Well, yeah! :P

We basically have all the support we need from the devs of the game when it comes to what needs doing and how to do it.
All we need is a few more people to help us make the mod now.
We have some people coming in later probably but right now we have a composer, a scripter and me as a modeler.

So Irascible dont be scared, join us ;)

Thought about it, but I haven't played or owned either game. I haven't really bought any games in a few years now that I think about it...

Plus, not sure I would end up being useful. Don't have the time to commit to something new right now. :/

The first is a rusted piece of crap while the second is the standard version to be used by the alliance. Unsure if the rusted one will be used or not.

Looking really cool! Are the design of the ships based on ones from the games or are they make from scratch for your mod? Either way, they look really nice, I like the color schemes.

The ship design is from the game, we dicided to use as much original material as possible, so the models are not made by us but somewhat modified by me, same with the textures. But some of the textures have had a rework to look different from the original, the rust texture for example.
