It would appear that your prices are a bit steep (10 frame animation = $180??), so I don't think I'd make use of your services, but thanks for informing us!

Thanks for your reply! Well, yes, the animation price looks a little bit extreme. To be honest, the prices have been set using the average cost of the job launched during the alpha test, but during the test perhaps users sent extremely complex scenes ...

Do you think that it would be of any interest if we issue a coupon with a discount, for the forum users? Perhaps do you want to test the service first? (Don't hesitate to contact me in PM, we'll arrange a free render if you wish!)

Well, I don't think that most Blender users would be willing to pay that much (if any price) for rendering an animation. I don't mean to sound rude, but you probably won't get much business with those prices.

Yes, you might be right; but rendering animation has a cost, and this cost is huge, especially for complex images. People who are not willing to pay can still use corefarm.org (although not supporting yafaray 0.1.2 nor animation) ...

CPU's in the cloud. Using GPU might probably accelerate a lot and thus decrease the prices, but Yafaray is not ready yet ..

I'm just wondering why your costs are so high, because other renderfarms don't have prices in that range.

AFAIK they don't support Yafaray 0.1.2, so it is quite complicated to compare.

Moreover, most of the farm (rebusfarm..) sell ghz/h (what was the initial intent with corefarm), so you don't really know the exact price before rendering the scene ..

But I'd love to have lower prices for sure; perhaps I'd need more data about animations to get an flawless estimation of the cost .. Do you render animations with Yafaray? (or does anyone here do ? :) )
